The Central/Southeast ABLE Resource Center is one of four regional resource centers funded by the Ohio Department of Education. These centers provide leadership and expertise in the areas of professional development and instructional resources for Adult Basic and Literacy Education (ABLE) staff. Housed in the College of Education and part of The Literacy Center at Ohio University, we provide services to 30 ABLE funded programs in 28 counties in the central/southeast region of Ohio. Over 500 administrators, instructors, aides and support staff are in the region. Key focus areas include:
-
Supporting and advancing professional development in the region
-
Enhancing and expanding instructional technologies and resources
-
Promoting and developing promising initiatives and collaboration
